That is a big shift in tone.

So is this a brand overreaching, or a genuine step into premium design? The Neos75 breaks that pattern, and the materials are where it shows most.

CNC Full-Aluminum Body: Leaving the “Plastic Feel” Behind

Low-profile keyboards often chase thinness by using plastic or half-aluminum shells. The Neos75 uses a CNC-machined, one-piece aluminum body instead.

Rigidity: Aluminum resists flex and twist far better than plastic, so the board feels solid and premium.

Weight and stability: The heft keeps it planted on your desk while you type.

Precisão: Seams are tight and chamfers are crisp, which gives it the look of a machined metal block rather than a slim office tool.

If you want a closer look at the build, the Neos75 product page has the details.

Metal Keycaps: Cool to the Touch, Heavy on Presence

This is the Neos75’s most talked-about feature. Instead of the usual PBT or PC, it uses custom contoured metal keycaps.

Visual weight: Reflective metal caps give the board a low, grounded look.

The “small sculpture” effect: Contoured caps, light reflections and an aluminum base make it feel more like a functional desk ornament than a typical keyboard.

Sound: Dense metal tends to cut down the hollow, plasticky resonance. Combined with a gasket-style structure, it can produce a deep, clean, “thocky” bottom-out.

In short: the materials are the reason this board looks and feels like a different class of AULA.

Colorways: Gods, Not Just Colors

Most keyboards offer black, white, gray and pink. The Neos75 takes a different route and names its four colorways after mythological figures: VENUS, ATHENA, SELENE and HADES. (Venus is technically the Roman name for Aphrodite, but the Greco-Roman theme is clear.)

From “Color” to “Character”

Here is what each name suggests. The exact shades are our interpretation, so check the product listing for the official finishes.

Combinação de cores

Mythological Figure

Likely Mood

VENUS

Goddess of love and beauty

Soft, warm, elegant

ATHENA

Goddess of wisdom and war

Calm, disciplined, tech-minded

SELENE

Goddess of the moon

Cool, quiet, mysterious

HADES

God of the underworld

Dark, imposing, dramatic

Each name gives you a mood to match your desk setup, whether that is cozy, minimalist or moody.

Why Metal Suits the Myth

Anodized aluminum has a cool, hard finish that suits classical themes well. A “Hades” board in black plastic would feel cheap. In deep-toned aluminum with metal keycaps, the underworld vibe actually lands.

That is the real strategy here: AULA is moving from selling hardware to selling aesthetics and emotional value.

The Honest Trade-Offs

Premium materials come with real-world costs. Here is what to expect before you buy.

Cold Fingers in Winter

Metal conducts heat quickly. In a cold, unheated room, touching metal keycaps first thing in the morning is not pleasant. If your space is warm, this barely matters. If it is not, you may miss the gentler feel of PBT.

Slippery Surfaces and Fingerprints

Grip: Depending on the surface finish, sweaty fingers can slide on metal caps.

Smudges: Aluminum and metal keycaps show fingerprints easily, so keep a microfiber cloth nearby.

A Heavy “Brick” for a Low-Profile Board

Full aluminum plus metal keycaps adds serious weight. Low-profile boards are usually prized for portability, and the Neos75 gives that up. It is built to be a desktop main driver, not a laptop-bag companion.

Verdict: Spec Stacking or Real Design?

Let’s answer the question directly.

Is It Spec Stacking?

Partly, yes. At a similar price, you can find boards with better feel or more refined acoustics in conventional materials. AULA put its budget into aluminum and metal keycaps to stand out.

Is It Aesthetic Design?

Also yes. The materials, the mythology-based colorways and the sculptural look change what a low-profile keyboard can be. It becomes a piece of desk art, not just a thin office tool.

Final Take

The Neos75 is a keyboard to show off, not one to take everywhere.

It trades portability, a warm touch and budget pricing for striking metal craftsmanship and strong visual identity. If you can live with the winter chill, the occasional slip and the extra weight, it is a sincere statement piece from a brand that has proven it can compete on quality as well as value.

Ready to see it in person?
